Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Fuego Volcano in Guatemala has erupted, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes due to lava, ash, and hot gas clouds. Authorities have issued severe danger warnings for the regions of Sacatepéquez, Chimaltenango, and Escuintla, which are home to approximately 1.6 million people. Around 1,700 individuals have been moved to emergency shelters, while tens of thousands more are considered at risk.

The eruption began Monday morning and intensified throughout the day, sending lava fountains up to 300 meters high into the air. Pyroclastic flows of gas, ash, and rock traveled up to seven kilometers from the crater through at least five ravines. Wind carried ash up to 120 kilometers to the west and northwest, and officials have warned of potential mudslides due to expected rainfall.

In response to the activity, the National Highway 14 was closed and school classes were canceled in several municipalities. Residents were advised to wear respiratory masks and cover water containers. While the Fuego Volcano is one of the most active in Central America, this specific eruption is noted as being unusually strong. No deaths or major damages were initially reported.
