Severe storms have caused extensive damage across more than 70 cities in Paraná and several regions in São Paulo. In Paraná, at least four people have died and two remain missing. These casualties include three members of one family whose home was buried by a landslide in Ponta Grossa and a man whose body was recovered from the Ribeira river in Rio Branco do Sul. In the city of São Paulo, rainfall levels have reached their highest point for September since 1943, with some areas recording three times the monthly average.
