- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

João Vitor Domingues Romeiro, 25, was arrested for the feminicide of his former partner, 37 year old doctor Gassi Mazia, in Maringá, Paraná. The crime was reported to the police after a relative of Romeiro heard him confess to the killing. According to the Public Ministry, Romeiro invaded the victim's apartment and killed her because he did not accept the end of their relationship. The victim was found on Saturday with approximately 10 stab wounds, and three knives were found next to her body. The couple's eight month old son was left alone in the apartment. Romeiro was arrested in flagrante and hospitalized under police escort due to injuries on his neck. The court converted his arrest into preventive detention following a request from the Public Ministry, which described the act as cowardly and cruel. Romeiro's defense stated they are evaluating the legal situation.
