  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever agreed to deepen cooperation in defence, law enforcement, and semiconductors during a recent visit. The two leaders set a target to double bilateral trade within five years, noting that current two way trade is valued at approximately 13 billion dollars, with diamonds making up nearly 30 percent of that total. The agreement includes a Letter of Intent on Defence Cooperation to facilitate military exchanges, research, and the co production of military equipment.

Discussions also focused on creating resilient supply chains to reduce dependency on China and managing the impact of US trade policies and tariffs. The leaders explored collaboration in fintech, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, advanced manufacturing, ports, logistics, and clean energy. To support these goals, the two nations will establish an Investment Fast Track Mechanism for Belgian companies and work to connect Belgium's IMEC Institute with India's semiconductor ecosystem. Additionally, the two sides intend to conclude a migration and mobility partnership agreement.

While both reports cover the strategic expansion of the relationship, they differ slightly in emphasis. The center leaning coverage focuses on the broad boost to ties across sectors like fintech and defence. The center right leaning coverage provides more granular detail on the geopolitical motivations, specifically highlighting the need to counter the weaponization of supply chains and the instability caused by global trade tensions.
