- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
An Israeli airstrike killed a man and his 8 year old daughter, Wafaa, when it hit their vehicle in western Gaza City on Sunday. Mohamed Abu Selmia, the director of Al Shifa Hospital, reported that the attack also wounded six other people. An Israeli military spokesperson stated that forces targeted a Hamas militant and that the military was investigating the results of the strike. Other reports indicate additional casualties on Sunday, including a child killed by an Israeli tank at a school housing displaced families in Deir al Bala and another person killed in the Al Rimal neighborhood. Total death tolls for the day vary by source, with some reporting at least four dead and others reporting at least five.
These events occurred despite a United States backed ceasefire that began in October 2025. Health officials in Gaza state that more than 1,300 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed since the ceasefire took effect. The Israeli military reports that four Israeli soldiers have been killed during the same period. Hamas has accused Israel of violating the ceasefire and undermining a broader plan by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the conflict through Israeli withdrawals and the disarmament of Hamas. The Israeli military maintains that its strikes are intended to thwart attacks by Hamas and other militants.
