  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Economists surveyed in the Central Bank's Focus report have raised the GDP growth forecast for this year to 1.93 percent, up from 1.92 percent. This marks the first increase in the GDP outlook in over two months. Meanwhile, the inflation forecast for 2026 was reduced for the second consecutive week, moving from 5.01 percent to 5 percent. Despite this decrease, the projection remains above the Central Bank's official inflation target center of 3 percent, which carries a tolerance margin of 1.5 percentage points. Analysts maintained the year end projection for the Selic interest rate at 13.75 percent, down from the current rate of 14 percent. Experts expect a 0.25 percentage point cut during the Copom meeting scheduled for September 15 and 16. The GDP adjustment follows IBGE data showing a 0.5 percent increase in the second quarter, which represented a deceleration from the 1.1 percent growth seen in the first quarter.
