OpenAI is strengthening its cooperation with Samsung Electronics to develop next generation chips and enterprise AI services. Harrison Kim, the general director of OpenAI Korea, stated that the development of these chips is one of the areas where the two companies have made the most progress. Kim also noted that Samsung Electronics represents one of the largest global implementations of ChatGPT, with employees using the chatbot for marketing, sales, and research and development. Additionally, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix signed letters of intent last year to provide memory chips for OpenAI's Stargate data center project. Kim emphasized that cooperation with South Korean suppliers remains a priority because more advanced processors are required for faster and more complex computing.
