Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The family of actress Laura Cardoso has announced that her seventh day mass will be held on Sunday, August 23, at 11:30 a.m. in São Paulo. The ceremony will be open to the public and will take place at the Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima in the Sumaré neighborhood. Cardoso died this week at the age of 98. Her family stated that she died of natural causes, with her granddaughter Adriana Balleroni noting that the actress did not suffer from specific health issues but that her body succumbed to time. Throughout a career spanning over 80 years, Cardoso appeared in numerous productions including Mulheres de Areia and Chocolate com Pimenta. Her funeral was held last Tuesday in central São Paulo and was attended by family, friends, and other celebrities.
