- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Brazilian actress Glória Menezes died on Tuesday, October 18, at the age of 91. She passed away at her home in Rio de Janeiro surrounded by family members. Her press office stated that the death occurred due to natural causes, noting that she had been debilitated by her advanced age. A private funeral ceremony reserved for family and close friends is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19. The location of the wake has not been disclosed.
Menezes was a prominent figure in Brazilian television, theater, and cinema for over six decades. She appeared in more than 40 soap operas during her tenure at TV Globo, which she joined in 1967. Her career began in 1959 at TV Tupi and included a role in the film O Pagador de Promessas, which won the Palma d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1962. She was born Nilcedes Soares de Magalhães in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, but adopted the stage name Glória Menezes for its universal appeal.
She was married for nearly 60 years to fellow actor Tarcísio Meira, who died in 2021. The couple frequently worked together, starring in the first daily soap opera in Brazil, 2-5499 Ocupado, and later in the series Tarcísio and Glória. She is survived by three children: Tarcísio Filho, João Paulo, and Maria Amélia, as well as two grandchildren.
