A new Quaest poll conducted between August 23 and 26 shows Daniel Vilela of the MDB leading the race for the government of Goiás with 37 percent of the intention to vote. According to the data, former governor Marconi Perillo of the PSDB follows with 20 percent, while Senator Wilder Morais of the PL holds 12 percent. In second round simulations, Vilela maintains a significant lead, marking 53 percent against Perillo and 56 percent against Morais. Other candidates include Luis Cesar Bueno of the PT with 4 percent and Cíntia Dias of the PSOL with 1 percent. Indecisive voters account for 20 percent of the sample, while blank and null votes total 7 percent.
Separate polling data from the same period focused on the presidential preference among Goiás voters. In a scenario without Pablo Marçal, Ronaldo Caiado leads with 32 percent, followed by Flávio Bolsonaro at 27 percent and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at 20 percent. When Pablo Marçal is included in the simulation, Flávio Bolsonaro moves to 31 percent and Ronaldo Caiado to 30 percent, while Lula drops to 18 percent.
Regarding the two open Senate seats in Goiás, Gracinha Caiado leads with 21 percent, followed by Gustavo Gayer at 12 percent and Vanderlan Cardoso and Zacharias Calil both at 9 percent. The surveys were commissioned by TV Anhanguera and involved 804 interviews with a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
