Russia has warned that it could strike British military targets both inside and outside of Ukraine in response to the United Kingdom's support for Kyiv. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Britain and France are playing with fire by supplying sensitive missile technology to Ukraine. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed these reports as scare stories that have nothing to do with reality. However, he maintained that Russia would provide a strong response to Ukrainian attacks on economic and commercial infrastructure. The UK Ministry of Defence responded to the threats by stating that Russia should be in no doubt about the resolve of the government to stand against Russian aggression.
