- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Santos defeated Atlético-MG 2 to 0 on Wednesday at Vila Belmiro in the first leg of the Copa Sul-Americana quarterfinals. Willian Arão scored the first goal in the 30th minute of the first half following a header from Gabigol. Christian Oliva added a second goal in the 22nd minute of the second half, again assisted by Gabigol. The result gives Santos a significant advantage; they can lose by one goal in the return leg and still advance to the semifinals. Atlético-MG must win by three goals to advance, while a two-goal victory would lead to a penalty shootout.
The return match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, at 7 p.m. at the MRV Arena in Belo Horizonte. In the meantime, both teams have Brazilian league fixtures on Saturday, October 12, with Santos hosting Cruzeiro and Atlético-MG facing Fluminense.
During the match, Santos debuted Rodinei and announced the signing of midfielder Everton Cebolinha, who joined from Flamengo on a contract lasting until the end of the year. Coach Cuca managed the team without Neymar, Barreal, Lucas Veríssimo, and Rony. While Atlético-MG maintained more possession of the ball, Santos created several key opportunities. Goalkeepers Gabriel Brazão and Gabriel Delfim both made important saves during the contest.
In other Sul-Americana news, Boca Juniors defeated São Paulo 1 to 0, and Vasco played to a 0 to 0 draw against Santa Fé.
