Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every source for this story reports from South Korea.

The Seoul International Fireworks Festival took place on Saturday in the Yeouido district, featuring displays from South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Hosted by Hanwha Group, the event began just after 8 p.m. and drew an estimated 530,000 spectators. This year's festival was held approximately three weeks earlier than usual because the Chuseok fall harvest holiday occurs later this month.

The program opened with a performance by the British team, followed by the U.S. team, and concluded with a 20 minute show by South Korea's Hanwha Corp. The event, which began in 2000, is considered one of Seoul's signature autumn events. To manage the large crowds, approximately 6,800 personnel were mobilized, and the Seoul city government established a safety headquarters with police and fire departments. Safety measures included the use of 45 patrol boats on the river and real time crowd density monitoring via CCTV cameras.

Traffic controls were enforced around the site, including the closure of Wonhyo Bridge and Yeouidong-ro, which resulted in the temporary rerouting of 24 bus routes. Spectators arrived early with picnic mats and chairs, causing long lines at nearby convenience stores and restrooms.
