Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The two sons of a police officer killed in a head-on collision on the A66 near Middlesbrough led out Manchester United as matchday mascots during a home game on Sunday. The children stepped onto the pitch accompanied by goalkeeper Senne Lammens and captain Bruno Fernandes. The officer, PC Matthew Blades, died alongside colleague PC Tom Clough when a vehicle driving the wrong way struck them at South Bank last weekend. Other victims of the crash included Jakub Matusiak, Michael Cahill, Makai Saddington, Theo Rae, and Cole Worthy. Manchester United described PC Blades as a proud Red and a devoted family man in the official matchday programme. The club also expressed great sadness over the deaths of both officers. On Saturday, Middlesbrough FC honored the officers and the Cleveland Police force with a round of applause and images displayed on screens at the Riverside Stadium. The King also wrote to the families to express his condolences.
