Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister André Mendonça has requested that the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR) comment on a Federal Police document containing messages from Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master. In the messages, Vorcaro asks an interlocutor to seek the intervention of Paulo Gonet, the Prosecutor General, and Andrei Rodrigues, the Director General of the Federal Police, on his behalf. The Federal Police suspect that the interlocutor in these messages is STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Mendonça has set a five day deadline for the PGR to respond to the document. The investigation involves messages sent by Vorcaro starting October 30 of last year, prior to his arrest on November 17 and the subsequent liquidation of Banco Master by the Central Bank. In one exchange, Vorcaro suggests that the Central Bank was under pressure from the Federal Police and the Public Ministry to take action against him. He asks the interlocutor to ensure that Andrei and Paulo prevent others from causing problems. Another message indicates Vorcaro requested a delay in a police operation to prevent the bank from collapsing. Additionally, reports indicate that Minister Moraes made edits to a contract between Banco Master and the law firm of his wife, Viviane Barci de Moraes. The law firm stated that Minister Moraes was consulted to ensure there were no legal impediments to the contract, as he had never judged any case involving Banco Master. It was also revealed that Vorcaro exchanged WhatsApp messages with Moraes on the day of his first arrest regarding negotiations to save the bank.
