Tensions Rise Between STF Justice André Mendonça and Federal Police Over Lulinha Investigation

A conflict has emerged between Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice André Mendonça and the Federal Police (PF) regarding investigations into Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, the son of President Lula. Justice Mendonça has expressed dissatisfaction with the PF, citing delays in investigations into INSS frauds and unauthorized changes to the investigative team. The defense for the president's son claims that sectors of the PF are using the case to harm the president's potential 2026 re-election campaign.
