Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Twelve Polish citizens died and dozens more were injured when a tourist bus overturned into a ditch on the M3 motorway in Hungary early Sunday morning. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. near the town of Mezokeresztes, approximately 140 kilometers east of Budapest. The bus was carrying 57 passengers and two drivers returning from a pilgrimage in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Police stated that the driver had been taken into custody and noted it was likely that the driver fell asleep. The Polish Foreign Ministry confirmed that all individuals on the bus were Polish citizens from the southeastern Podkarpackie region.
Casualty reports vary slightly between sources. One report states that seven people were in very serious condition and about 40 others suffered lighter injuries. Another report from the National Ambulance Service indicated one person was in critical condition, nine were serious, and 37 had lighter injuries.
