  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Twenty people between the ages of 20 and 67 were rescued from the sea at Praia do Pepê in Barra da Tijuca on Sunday morning. The group was attempting a crossing toward islands in front of the 2nd Maritime Group (2nd GMAR) when a change in wind conditions pushed them toward São Conrado and hindered their return to shore. Firefighters used jet skis to retrieve the group and bring them safely to the beach. All rescued individuals were evaluated by emergency teams and were found to be in good condition; none required hospitalization.

According to Alerta Rio, the city experienced strong wind gusts on Sunday morning. The highest recorded speed was 57.5 km/h at the Vidigal station at 7:10 a.m. Other significant readings included 54.4 km/h at Forte de Copacabana and 43.6 km/h at Marambaia. Authorities have advised the public to follow safety recommendations during periods of strong winds.
