Two Arrested in Multiple Homicide of Camilo Séptimo Keyboardist in Mexico

Authorities in the State of Mexico have arrested Diego Sebastián Rosen and Gerardo Cisneros Bejarano for a multiple homicide that left four people and a dog dead in a residence in Atizapán de Zaragoza. The victims include Jonathan Meléndez Ochoa, a 38 year old keyboardist for the band Camilo Séptimo, his 35 year old pregnant partner, their 3 year old daughter, and a 21 year old domestic worker. A five year old boy survived the attack after hiding under a bed and was later released to his grandparents. The family dog, a Golden Retriever, was also killed. All victims were found bound and gagged with industrial tape and suffered gunshot wounds to the head. The investigation suggests the suspects entered the home to steal a cold storage device containing millions of dollars in Bitcoins. One source reports that Rosen was a business partner of the musician in a vacation rental company and used that trust to gain entry. Following the crime, Rosen allegedly visited a restaurant in Mexico City for tacos. The suspects were processed at the Barrientos penitentiary in Tlalnepantla. Rosen, who holds multiple nationalities, claimed to be a businessman, while Cisneros claimed to be a driver. They face potential prison sentences ranging from 25 to 70 years for each homicide, as well as additional time for the interruption of pregnancy and animal cruelty.
