  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Two men died and two others were injured when a small propeller plane crashed during its approach to an airfield in South Hesse on Sunday. The aircraft was attempting to land at an airfield in Weinheim, Baden-Württemberg, but crashed in Viernheim, Hesse. The victims include a 67 year old man, believed to be the pilot, and a 76 year old passenger. A 40 year old woman and a 3 year old child were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

The accident occurred during a summer festival hosted by the Luftsportverein Weinheim-Bergstraße 1932, which had announced several aerobatic flights. The small red and white plane made a crash landing on a grassy area next to some bushes, resulting in the near total destruction of the front half of the aircraft. Emergency services from the fire department, police, and the German Red Cross responded to the scene, supported by rescue helicopters from the DRF and ADAC.

The Darmstadt public prosecutor's office ordered the seizure of the wreckage. The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation and the criminal police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The air sports club disabled its website shortly after the incident.
