Ukrainian long range drones targeted three oil refineries across Russia on September 7, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. The strikes hit facilities in the Perm region, Tatarstan, and the Ryazan region. In Perm, a drone struck a multistory residential building, resulting in one death and at least four injuries, as confirmed by regional Governor Dmitry Makhonin. Some reports indicate that the LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery, one of Russia's largest, was a primary target in the Perm region. This facility had been targeted in previous attacks in July and August.
Other strikes were reported across Russia. In the Belgorod region, an FPV drone hit a car, killing a man and a woman. In Voronezh, three residential buildings and other infrastructure were damaged, while a cell tower was hit in Chuvashia. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 306 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight across several regions, including Perm Krai, Rostov Oblast, and Kursk Oblast, though it did not mention Ryazan Oblast.
