Senator Flávio Bolsonaro stated on Monday that he is not responsible for providing public accounts regarding the financing of the film Dark Horse, asserting that the necessary information has already been submitted within an ongoing investigation in São Paulo. The senator, who previously promised to personally present accounts after audio leaked showing him requesting 61 million reais from banker Daniel Vorcaro, now argues that the production was a private matter involving no public funds. He further redirected criticism toward President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, demanding explanations regarding the president's contacts with Vorcaro.

Details from the investigation indicate the film cost 75.1 million reais, with 54 million spent abroad and 20.9 million spent in Brazil. However, reports indicate that the documentation lacked receipts or invoices to prove these expenses or detail the origin of the funds. The case is currently under investigation by the Civil Police and the Public Ministry to determine if public money from a separate 108 million reais wi-fi contract linked to businesswoman Karina da Gama was used for the film.
