- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to launch its own in house driver assist system in 2029 as part of a broader push to advance its autonomous driving capabilities. This rollout follows a planned 2028 debut of Level 2+ autonomous driving technology developed in collaboration with Nvidia. The strategy is being led by 42dot, the group's mobility software affiliate, which is focusing on a data flywheel approach to collect real world driving data to train its Atria AI model. Park Min-woo, CEO of 42dot, stated that the group's annual sales of 7 million vehicles provide a massive data pool that could allow the company to surpass competitors in data volume within five years. To accelerate development, Hyundai is pursuing a dual track strategy: utilizing Nvidia's commercial solutions for faster market entry and mass production experience while simultaneously developing its own end to end AI model. The company currently operates approximately 40 data collection vehicles to gather high quality information, including rare edge cases such as extreme weather or unusual road obstacles. While the initial 2028 deployment will focus on Level 2+ systems, the long term goal is to advance toward Level 4 autonomous driving, which does not require human intervention.
